Middleware para TV Digital: é a camada de software intermediário que permite o desenvolvimento de aplicações interativas para a TV Digital de forma independente da plataforma de hardware dos fabricantes de conversores digitais (set-top boxes).
Ginga: é a especificação para o padrão da camada de software intermediário (middleware) desenvolvida para o sistema Brasileiro de TV Digital pela Puc-RJ e UFPB.
Componente de Interatividade: é o termo criado pela TOTVS para classificar todo e qualquer aplicativo enviado pelo sinal de TV Digital aberto que permita que o usuário interaja com a aplicação utilizando o controle remoto do receptor.

TQTVD is going to participate of Broadcast&Cable 2008
TOTVS and TQTVD will be present at the BROADCAST & CABLE 2008, the principal event of Television, Radio, and Telecommunication in Latin America.
There, the visitors will be able to get to know and experiment the middleware AstroTV, commercial implement 100% compatible with Ginga. In the stand, interactive applications will be demonstrated on Java, Html, Ncl, and Lua, which will prove the potential of interactivity in Digital TV.
Parallel to the showcase, the SET Congress will be happening, realized by the Brazilian Society of Television Engineering (SET). This congress is the principal Brazilian event of broadcast technology. The SET Congress will count with the participation of David Britto, director of TQTVD, as the coordinator of the panel about the Brazilian pattern of interactivity software (Ginga).
